Final Fantasy XIII (Xbox 360) Not Even In Top 20 In Japan

Posted By | On 27th, Dec. 2010

Final Fantasy XIII debuted on the Xbox 360 in Japan this week, but it had a somewhat disappointing performances, failing to make it to even the Top 20 games sold in the region. it sold even less than 22,500 copies.

Even Black Ops, which is a first person shooter (Japanese don’t like shooters) managed to claim the 18th spot, yet Final Fantasy XIII, an RPG and the thirteenth game of the FF series- a complete win-win combo for the Japanese people- failed to sell properly.

It sold even less than Mario Kart Wii, which sold 22,579 units so many years after its release.

To be fair, people must be really busy with Monster Hunter Freedom 3 and Pokemon Black/White to indulge in an RPG that was already released such a long time ago on a much powerful system.
