Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia New Trailer Shows Off The Game’s Gameplay Mechanics

Insight into the new game.

Fire Emblem fans on the Nintendo 3DS get one last hurrah, before the series presumably permanently moves on to the Nintendo Switch- a new Fire Emblem game, launching this May. New here is a bit debatable, however, since the game is actually a remake of one of the earliest Fire Emblem titles- but since that game never launched in the west, it’s brand new for almost all of us, anyway.

Nintendo has released a brand new trailer for this game, one that extensively shows off its gameplay mechanics. Shadows of Valentia is going to play differently that Awakenng or Fates, the previous 3DS games that finally broke the series into the mainstream. Social features are missing or de-emphasized, for instance- and it should be interesting to see how that goes down with fans.

You can check out this new trailer for yourself below. Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia launches on May 19 exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS.
