Fire Emblem Warriors Coming To New 3DS In Addition To Switch

Plus, new gameplay footage inside.

Last week, during the Nintendo Switch event, Nintendo announced Fire Emblem Warriors, a Fire Emblem and Dynasty Warriors crossover, in the same vein as Hyrule Warriors for Zelda a couple of years ago. During yesterday’s Nintendo Direct dedicated to Fire Emblem, Nintendo confirmed that Fire Emblem Warriors will be launching this Fall. Not only that, however- they also revealed that the game will be coming to the New Nintendo 3DS in addition to the Nintendo Switch.

To be clear, you cannot play this game on a standard Nintendo 3DS system- which is probably for the best. Hyrule Warriors rans pretty great on New Nintendo 3DS, but was a total mess on regular 3DS systems. This actually makes Fire Emblem Warriors only the second retail 3DS game ever to only support the New Nintendo 3DS.

We also got some new gameplay footage for the game, which you can see for yourself below. I think fans of these kinds of games will find it pretty exciting. I know as someone who ended up liking Hyrule Warriors, I’m pretty interested to see how this turns out. Fire Emblem Warriors will launch on Nintendo Switch and New Nintendo 3DS this Fall.
