Nine Things Things We Want In Batman: Arkham City

Batmobile

It was a bummer that we couldn’t get to use the Batmobile in Arkham Asylum, in spite of the fact that it made an appearance. It was like a clichéd “so near yet so far” moment. But what are sequels made for, eh? To improve upon the mistakes that the original did. With an entire city at our disposal, we must have the means to transport- other than flying across the city. Using the Batmobile can make the game simply epic, and even more so if it can be incorporated into chase missions, or just missions in general.

Varied Mission Structure

Again, having an entire city at our hands can have great advantages, and with such advantages, we can have much more varied misssions, with stuff like bank robberies, bomb blasts, murders, riots and kidnappings to tend to. What’s more, if the game actually keeps the karma system featured, we can play out the mission the way we want to- we can help the cops, the GCPD in stopping all this horrid stuff from happening, or we can side with the bad guys. Now that would be cool as hell.

This also means that we can have…

Multiple Endings

If you can be the bad guy and the good guy both, then of course you will have different storylines, different missions, different friends and different foes. Which means you will also have different endings for both kinds of styles. It would be really cool, if we get to choose between who we face off against in the end- The Joker, or Jim Gordon (examples, okay?). And depending on that, we can have our save files transferred over to the next Arkham game!

Less Detective Vision

One could finish the entire campaign of Arkham Asylum with detective vision switched on- it was too tempting to use, too helpful. Not only did it make things very easy and monotonous sometimes, it made the colour pallete more dull. If only we would have the option of switching to detective vision in only a few select areas, or maybe no areas at all, it would make the game that much more challenging, and hence, more interesting, varied and entertaining.

That’s All
