It had already been announced previously, but FlatOut 4: Total Insanity has now started game development. The game is being produced by Tiny Rebel Games, Strategy First, and Kylotonn Games.

As had been promised previously, fans will be able to participate in the development process of the game actively, as fan input and desires will be courted, collected, and then implemented into the game on a routine basis. To start out, fans are being invited to vote on which  classic track from the series will make it into the new game.

We also have some brand new screenshots for the game, which you can see for yourself below. Personally, while I am not yet sold on the artstyle, it is hardly undeniable that the tech here looks promising.

FlatOut 4: Total Insanity is slated for a launch in 2016, on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage.
