Publisher Focus Entertainment has announced a partnership with indie German studio Mad About Pandas to publish a new game. The release will be part of Focus Entertainment’s Focus Indie Series.

The publisher has stated that its goal with this partnership is the expand its own catalogue of games with a new indie title, and to work with rising and new game development studios.

Mad About Pandas—founded in 2005—has primarily focused on developing narrative-focused games, and commissioned projects for clients like the Goethe Institute and Disney. The studio has previously worked on Hitchhiker, Galaxy Racers, The Great Jitters: Pudding Panic, Forever Forest, Truck Simulation 16, and Laika.

Mad About Pandas CEO Patrick Rau has revealed that the studio’s next project will feature a “memorable cast of characters”, and some “mind-bending” game mechanics. The title started as a love letter to urban spaces of the 70s.

Currently, there’s no real release date or even name for the Mad About Pandas game that will be published by Focus Entertainment.
