You know what Fortnite is? It is a new upcoming free to play arena shooter from Epic Games. Yes, Epic Games. The guys behind the engine that powers most of the AAA games in the industry. The guys who brought us classic hardcore gaming masterpieces such as Unreal Tournament, and who made inroads into bringing AAA gaming to new markets, such as consoles (Gears of War), online marketplaces (Shadow Complex), and even smartphones and tablets (Infinity Blade).

These guys are now bringing us a new free to play game, presumably in an attempt to similarly bring AAA games to this new segment of the market as well. However, Fortnite was announced a fair bit back, and we really hadn’t seen anything much of the game since, even during E3, which caused many to grow a little worried.

Well, if you were among that number, don’t worry. Fortnite exists. It’s still in development. And here’s some new gameplay footage to prove it, alongside a new logo. A new alpha will be coming up some time soon as well, so stay tuned for more news.
