Bought Forza Horizon? Enjoying it? Of course, you are, the game is friggin’ awesome. But hey, when you get addicted to a game like this, it’s normal that you would want to get all the collectibles, gain enough credits, buy all the excellent cars and what not.

Well, in this game, you can lose your way and it can be time consuming to do everything. But we’re here to help! In this guide, you will find a lot of tips, secrets, barn locations, and also discount board locations.

The game is pretty good as evident from our review here.

Before we explain anything, you need to know about the vehicles in the game. There aren’t as many as Forza 4, but there are ones that you would want to drive. Lots of supercars available in the game and they’re a joy to drive.

Discount signs as the name implies allows you to get a 1% discount for every sign you smash into. There are 100 signs in total, and it will take you a while to smash them all. 100% discount is very desirable because, duh, it makes upgrades cheaper.

Some of them are very tricky to find but if you zip past them it will show on your map as a red dot which makes them easier to find, but still, considering the sign itself is red and stands out, you should have no problems trying to get them.

Barn Finds Location

You will get a tip on the radio if you pass over a specific location. This location will also be marked as a big circle on your map, but it’s not that simple. For my first barn find, I kept circling the area until I found the car and it took me more than 15 minutes. They are cleverly hidden and also some of them are extremely difficult to find.

These finds give you unique cars that you can drive obviously and are worth all the effort so check them out.

In Finley Dam area, as we go down the dam, on the dirt-road. The first Forza Horizon Barn Find is on the right side of the road.

Reward: 1981 BMW M1

Can be found in Gladstone Drive on the right side of the river, and the main road; north from the two orange shortcuts.

Reward: 1954 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing Coupe

In the central Eagle Ridge, as we move towards the lake and the dead-end street, the barn can be observed behind a small hill.

In Western Red Rock neighborhood, at a crossroads, is a solitary barn, easy to identify, to the right, if we follow the main road, and travel from south to north.

In Montano Plains, north east of Recaro Rush Event is a barn easy to locate if we travel east to west. It’s on the right side of the main road.

The sixth Forza Horizon Barn Find is in the Bunker Area. We look for the barn in the central region, near a large orange house and three pine trees to the left, while facing north-west.

The seventh Barn Find is in Carson. To locate it faster, we head north-west towards the highway, on the dirt-road. The barn is on the right side, and it is a building taller than the rest.

The eighth Barn Find in Forza Horizon is located in Redfoot Ranch. We look for it in the south-central area marked on our map, between two hangars, near the dirt road.

The final Barn Find is located in Beaumont. To find the Barn holding the car, we travel north from South Beaumont outpost, on the central street. After the first intersection to the right, we move north and look for an orange building on the right side of the road. Before reaching it, we turn right on the small alley, and then right again.

Best Cars to buy in the game

There will be times where you have enough money to buy cars but you can’t really spend them all because you need to save them for being competitive in races. However, you are free to buy as many supercars as you like if you maintain at least 300k in your balance, for the main races.

In Forza Horizon money can be accumulated fast by doing street races and other races you find on your map. If you manage your money effectively you can also end up with more than 10 million credits which frankly makes this section useless.

So it’s either your skills with a weak car, or your ability to save a required amount of money and splurge on the rest. It’s simple as that. I’d recommend the later because if you go on a buying spree and the game autosaves, it will be difficulty to get that type of money again.

And yeah, buy all the Ferrari cars. Their dashboard is impeccable here.
