Set in the not so distant cyberpunk future comes Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Deus Ex: Human Revolution takes place over 25 years before the events of Deus Ex. Players are in control of Adam Jensen, a security officer for Sarif Industries, a controversial company leading the way in human augmentations.
After an attack is placed in Sarif Industries, Adam is found near the brink of death. Through these human augmentations, Adam survives and is tossed around the world looking to find who is responsible for the attack all the while taking on new optional side quests. Because players have human augmentations at their disposal, there are several options on how and where gamers can increase and upgrade their character.
