#21. HOLLOW KNIGHT

Developed By: Team Cherry | Available On: PC, Linux, Mac, Switch

Hollow Knight’s biggest strengths are its ingenious level design and the staggering amount of things it allows you to do, without ever forcing you in any particular direction or prodding you towards any specific activities. Even after dozens of hours into the game, you will continue to find interesting new quests, new places to explore, and new ways to try out your in-game skills and abilities. It may not be the flashiest game out there, but it certainly is one of the deepest and most engaging experiences we have had this year.
