MICROTRANSACTIONS
Monetization is something that we worry about in pretty much every AAA release these days, and it’s an area that Ubisoft has come under increasing criticism for the last couple of year. Breakpoint, however, is probably their worst microtransactions model in years. You can purchase virtually everything in the game, from guns to weapon blueprints to attachments. Ubisoft will, of course, try to justify this with the good old “it’s all optional” and “they’re just timesavers” arguments, but let’s not be fooled here- what the game is pushing you to do is paying for progress.
