GoldenEye HD re-releases were planned from the beginning

The recently announced GoldenEye 007: Reloaded, the HD re-release of GoldenEye 007, which was released only last year, was planned all along. “This was working in the background the whole time while they were working on the Wii game, but it was very important not to disturb that team as they completed the game,” Producer James Steer told Kotaku.

He said the developers only wanted to concentrate on a Wii remake first to pay tribute to the original game.

Since the game is well recognized for having great multiplayer, Eurocom is making many additions to the HD re-releases. More maps, 16-player support, more characters and new, stealth oriented modes.
