Well, people, it’s finally time to go to jail. Or back to it, if we’re getting into the technicalities. Gothic 1 Remake is finally here, and it even has a new release trailer to celebrate Alkimia Entertainment’s lovingly crafted take on the original adventure. You get to see the new visuals in all their glory while glimpses of what awaits you on your journey through a very hostile colony make things interesting.
There’s a lot of new stuff to look forward to in this one, and the opening cinematic was dropped a little earlier to let you get some much-needed context as to what’s happening if this is your first time with the classic RPG. For those of you who are returning to it after a hiatus, know that the combat system might surprise you as much as the visual improvements that are clear to see.
Of course, that’s just the beginning, and you’re in for an adventure that’s a treat on both the visual and gameplay fronts. Being a convict was never this promising in our book.
