Gran Turismo Sport’s Next Update May Finally Bring Rain

The highly requested weather element might be added to the racing sim soon.

Gran Turismo Sport

Sony and Polyphony Digital’s post-launch support for Gran Turismo Sport has been impressive, to say the least. The racing sim is constantly getting new cars added to its roster of vehicles, while new tracks and events are also frequently added- and of course, there’s still more yet to come.

A couple months ago, for instance, reports claimed that rainy weather – a feature that has been highly requested by the community for a while not – would be getting added to the game soon. Since then, however, we haven’t really heard much about it. Now, though, an update put up on Instagram by Race Online Hungary (via GT Planet) that the next update for the game will bring rainy weather at last.

Update 1.42 will, as per this post, apparently go live at the end of this month, on August 27th. Apart from rainy weather, it’s also supposedly bringing a new track. This will happen after the 2019 New York World Tour event. Seeing as this isn’t coming from Polyphony Digital directly, it’s best if we don’t start celebrating just yet- but it doesn’t seem all too unlikely that it ends up happening.

Either way, stay tuned to GamingBolt, and we’ll keep you updated on whether or not the next update does finally bring rain to Gran Turismo Sport.
