I’m fairly certain that we are all getting absolutely sick and bloody tired of all the Grand Theft Auto 5 Release Date “official confirmation” and “leaked dates”. Well, this is what happens when a franchise as huge and as popular as this decides to announce it’s game on the newest gaming hardware, the community melts down.
So what’s up this time? A reddit user by the name of “CoolStoryBroLol” (very original, I know) posted an image of a pre-order reservation card from the US chain of super stores, Fred Meyer. The card pertains to the PlayStation 4 build of the game only, but it does just so happen to have a release date for the game which reads 12/28/2014.
Now obviously, this isn’t any official confirmation by any stretch of the imagination. In this day and age we can fake just about anything we need to if it stirs up an audience, and this picture just so happens to have the card sitting next to fliers that clearly say “Fred Meyer Coupon” on them. A well made fake or a poor attempt at online marketing by someone that doesn’t quite grasp the concept? Or better yet, is this legit? Well, that’s for you to decide.
