In a recent discovery by a user of the popular website Reddit, it seems that Rockstar games planes to incorporate micro transaction, or the purchase of in game money with real world money, into the online addition to the hugely popular Grand Theft Auto V, Grand Theft Auto Online.

Since the release of GTA V there have been a number of complaints about how difficult it is to acquire money in the game, and this could well be the reason. The above mentioned Reddit user found on the server for the Rockstar Games website several files which suggest purchasable DLC, which is to be expected for a game like GTA V.

However, in addition to the standard DLC packages, the Redditor also found options for “cash cards” of varying degrees of value. The implication being that these cards will be for sale at some point in the future. The amounts vary from $1,000,000 ro $1,250,000. We are unsure at this time how much these money bundles will cost.

Also discovered was this message:

“Cash is king in this town. Solve your money problems and help get what you want across Los Santos and Blaine County with the purchase of cash packs for Grand Theft Auto Online. All purchased cash is automatically deposited into your character’s bank account. Spend wisely, cash therapy is fleeting.”
