Rapper Daz Dillinger recently came forth with a big issue he has with Rockstar Games surrounding their latest release, Grand Theft Auto V. Apparently the game features two of his tracks that he never gave them permission to use. Dillinger says that Rockstar came to him with an offer that he found to be too low, and he turned them down. The songs somehow found their way into the game regardless.
According to Dillinger, Rockstar offered him $4271 in total for both tracks. He says he founf this offer to be “offensively low.” Since the tracks wound up in the game, Dillinger is insisting that Rockstar either make him a more reasonable offer, or destroy all unsold copies of the game. Something tells me the latter isn’t going to happen.
In a recent interview with TMZ on the issue, Dillinger insisted that this case is about “respecting an artist’s work. Rockstar didn’t do that here and I can’t let them get away with it”.
He has given the game company 14 days to comply with his demands.
