One of the most surprisingly enthusiastic supporters of the Nintendo Switch has been publisher Take-Two, which brings us games such as the 2K Sports games, Civilization, XCOM, Borderlands, Bioshock, and GTA and Red Dead. Since the system’s launch, they’ve put NBA 2K, WWE 2K, and LA Noire to the platform- and apparently, the games have done well enough that they’re happy with the system and its performance.
Speaking during Take-Two’s quarterly financial conference call, President Karl Slatoff noted that Take-Two is very impressed with the console and its sales, and that they are optimistic about its future. That said, he obviously didn’t announce any further games for the hybrid platform (an earnings call is hardly the place to do so), although he did hint that the support from the publisher would be contingent on factors such as the install base, the demographics, and the kinds of opportunities for Take-Two on the Switch.
Which is all well and good, but I just hope they put out Grand Theft Auto V for the damn thing already.
