“GTA V will be 2012’s biggest release”- Analyst

Posted By | On 28th, Dec. 2011

Ever since Rockstar revealed Grand Theft Auto 5, the gaming industry has gone crazy. GTA 5 has topped many a list, even here at GamingBolt, and it is no secret that it is at the top of all Anticipated Games lists. Even analysts feel that GTA 5 will be the biggest release of 2012, even bigger than the likes of Call of Duty, FIFA and Assassin’s Creed.

EEDAR’s Jesse Divnich said while speaking to IndustryGamers that GTA 5 will generate the highest sales next year. “It goes without saying that GTA V will be one of the year’s biggest releases, but I will take it one step farther and say GTA V will be 2012’s biggest release,” he said.

“Don’t get me wrong, Call of Duty will undoubtedly be huge, as it is every year and it may even grow, but if I had to call what will be a photo finish race, I will go with GTA V.”

That’s an interesting prediction. It’s hard to outsell a game like Call of Duty, though it could definitely happen. The GTA series sells a lot too.
