Halo Wars 2 Looked Rather Spiffy In Its Game Awards Footage

At last.

Halo Wars 2

Halo Wars 2 is the sequel to 2008’s Halo Wars, the real time strategy game that Ensemble made for the Halo series as their final game before their dissolution. The game has looked great ever since being announced, but I don’t think it has looked as appealing ever as it did in the new video for the game that debuted at The Game Awards tonight.

The trailer also has a narration giving context to the story of the game, as well as where in the timeline it will be set. You can check out the trailer below for yourself, and see what you can think.

Hopefully, The Creative Assembly, who are behind the development of this game, will do a better job of creating a console real time strategy games than most people have in the past- the original Halo Wars was on to something, but it never quite got there.
