Today, 2K Sports has revealed a brand new digital short to promote their upcoming game NBA 2K16. The video, called Stephen Curry: Beyond The Shadows, chronicles the inspiring history of NBA superstar and cover athlete Steph Curry’s rise to dominance. Narrated by Spike Lee, the montage of gameplay and true life footage showcases Curry’s journey from being drafting by the Golden State Warriors to winning the 2014-15 NBA Championship. It is also our first look at in depth NBA 2K16 gameplay.
This video is the first in a three part series that 2K Sports will be releasing for marketing synergy for the upcoming game; the videos will focus on the life stories of NBA 2K16 cover athletes, and are meant to supplement the MyCareer Mode narrative.
NBA 2K16 will be launching on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC on September 29. It is being developed by longtime 2K Sports series custodians Visual Concepts.
