Hayter Reacts To Recent Rumors About Hideo Kojima, MGO Staff Will Not Be Changed After MGS5 Release

The ex-voice of Solid Snake and Big Boss, David Hayter has reacted in a rather hilarious way to the recent rumors about Hideo Kojima exiting Konami once Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is shipped. After several fans started asking Hayter about his thoughts on the matter, Hayter simply replied with the following: “In answer to your many questions on the subject… No, I do not own any voodoo dolls.”

For those who are unaware, a voodoo doll is a  associated with some forms of voodoo and folk magic. Back in 2013 Hideo Kojima recast David Hayter for the role of Snake by bringing in Kiefer Sutherland. As expected, the recent rumors led many people to ask Hayter whether he did some magic to get his score settled with Kojima. And the answer, which you read above is hilarious. Never change, Hayter. Never change.

On a more serious note, the person handling Metal Gear Online’s official Twitter account has confirmed that there will be no changes at Konami Los Angeles Studios (previous Kojima Productions Los Angeles Studios). Furthermore, as previously rumored, the roles of senior staff at Konami have indeed been switched to a contractor basis. The Linkedin account of Ken Ichiro Imaizumi pretty much confirms this. But does this also mean that Hideo Kojima is also a contractor at Konami? The rumors suggests so but Konami did confirm that he will continue to be director of Metal Gear games.

Konami has been clear regarding their restructuring of the organization but have been vague on whether Kojima will actually exit the company and his current employment designation. We will keep you updated as this develops further.
