Hellblade

Ninja Theory’s Hellblade has gone through quite the number of changes, morphing into Senua’s Sacrifice with the latest trailer released not too long ago. The newest developer diary has revealed the game’s combat which looks to depart from the combo-heavy systems in Heavenly Sword and DmC: Devil May Cry while emphasizing skill and remaining grounded. Check it out below.

As opposed to attacking and blocking in four directions, the new combat system allows players to flow from one opponent to another more seamlessly than before. Stunt actress Chloe Bruce was also brought in for the various moves that could be performed in-game. Bruce is known for her work in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and helped the development team to translate combat actions in-game.

Hellblade is currently in development for PC and PlayStation 4. Stay tuned for more information on the game including when exactly it will be releasing in 2016. What are your thoughts on the dev diary? Let us know in the comments.
