Konami has promoted Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima to the position of vice president, corporate officer. A round of new appointments for the company starting April 1st, will see Kojima take up his new position.
Konami’s current operating officer, Shinji Enomoto, is promoted into the same position as Kojima, as the firm names three new directors: Mineaki Yoshiba, Yasuyuki Yamaji and Kazuyuki Kisohara.
A well deserved promotion for one of the industries most beloved creators. Unless of course this is all some bizarre April fools day prank. Let’s hope not.
