HMV launch a mobile trade-in app

Posted By | On 12th, Apr. 2011

HMV have launched a mobile phone app dedicated specifically to game trade-ins.

Available now on iPhone and Android platforms, the free ‘re/play’ app lets you check the latest trade-in value of games and consoles, either by entering product details or using a built-in barcode scanner.

The app also details in-store trade-in offers, and includes a store locator.

HMV Games re/play manager Martin Baxter has said “we’re incredibly proud and excited to be the-first-to-UK-market with a games trade-in app for iPhone and Android. This ground-breaking app will not only become a must-have download for current trade-in users, but will encourage a whole new range of customers who may have previously lacked the confidence or awareness to trade their games in.”

Like it or hate, the pre-owned market seems to expand a little bit more each and every day.

Thanks to CVG for the info.
