It’s been a while now since we last saw Hogwarts Legacy in action, and that radio silence has left many wondering whether the game, which was slated to launch Holiday 2022, is going to be able to hit its launch window. As many had expected though, that’s not going to happen. WB Games recently took to Twitter and announced a release date for the open world action RPG, pushing it into early next year.
Hogwarts Legacy is now set to launch for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC on February 10, 2023. No reason for the delay has been given, other that the development team needing “a little more time to deliver the best possible game experience.” There’s also no word on the Nintendo Switch version’s release date, though WB Games says that will be revealed “soon”. However, we still don’t know whether or not the Switch version of the game will be cloud-exclusive.
When it launches next year, Hogwarts Legacy will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Hopefully we’ll be seeing more of the game in the coming weeks and months as we get closer to its release.
