Hogwarts Legacy

Hogwarts Legacy, like many other open world games, features multiple endings, each beautifully crafted to reflect the overall mood and sentiment of the story. Regardless of whether you choose to play as a hero or a villain, your choices won’t impact the outcome until the final decision. Additionally, there’s a secret ending that we’ll discuss later. Are you ready to uncover the mysteries of Hogwarts Legacy? Let’s get started!

Major Spoilers Ahead.

Approaching the point-of-no-return

To unlock the good and bad endings in Hogwarts Legacy, complete the main story mission called “Final Repository.”

The ending you get depends on the answer you give to Professor Fig’s question at the end of the game.

You need to select your answer before starting the final boss battle, as you won’t be able to change it once the fight begins.

Is it possible to save Professor fig in either of the endings?

You should also note that the Professor dies at the end of both endings. You cannot save him either way, so simply proceed with the choice.

How to get the Good Ending in Hogwarts Legacy

To unlock the good ending in Hogwarts Legacy, you must choose to contain the Ancient Magic in the Repository and carry the secret forever.

The professor will admire you for this decision and stay by your side.

You will seal the Magic as the keeper.

Pick the following dialogues to get the good ending:

QuestionsAnswers
What do you intend to do with it?”I intend to keep it contained here.” (First Choice)

How to get the Bad Ending in Hogwarts Legacy

The bad ending can be obtained by choosing to open the Repository and releasing the Ancient Magic into the world.

By making this choice, the Professor will express concern about the potential consequences it might have on your future.

Pick the following dialogues to get the bad ending:

QuestionsAnswers
What do you intend to do with it?”I intend to open it.” (First Choice)
After everything you’ve seen? What about Isidora’s fate?”This power should not be kept from the world.” (Second Choice)

How to get the secret ending in Hogwarts Legacy

After completing the main story mission and choosing either the good or bad ending, you’ll see a cutscene that is followed by a notification about the upcoming O.W.L. exams. Once you see this notification, you’ll need to complete several tasks in order to unlock the secret ending.

The last two tasks on the list below can only be completed after obtaining either the good or bad ending. Once you finish all the tasks, participate in the House Cup to view various cutscenes featuring activities occurring at the school. The House Cup completion triggers additional events, but we won’t reveal them to keep the element of surprise.

  • Reach Level 34.
  • Finish all the remaining quests.
  • Finish all the remaining puzzles.
  • Finish all relationship storylines.
  • Complete Weasley’s Watchful Eye Main quest.
  • Complete The House Cup Story Quest.
