Witches seem to be creeping up in a lot of video games recently. Hunter’s Moon is the latest game to join that growing list, putting you in the shoes of Lilith Thorne, a woman who must evade capture by the local populace of a rural village that suspects her of being a witch.
She’s going to have to use her wits to do that, and an interesting eavesdropping mechanic is touted as being key to your survival. You’re being hunted by a self-styled Witchfinder General, a local magistrate, and a hunter who we suspect might be the most annoying one to evade. Listening at doors and windows around the village unseen is going to give you useful tips that can help you survive the night and evade capture. Yes, the entire game takes place over the course of one night.
We’re particularly impressed by the art style that uses muted colors but manages to present scenes with a very intriguing use of animations, and some creative designs that look like they could make this one stand out. A trailer is out if you want a closer look at this one ahead of its October 26, 2026, release (that’s the 25th if you’re in North America).
