Cascade Game Foundry has teamed up with the Professional Association of Diving Instructors in an attempt to develop the first ever realistic scuba diving simulation game, Infinite Scuba. Infinite Scuba will allow players to get a variety of virtual certifications, including Deep Diver, Wreck Diver, Underwater Photographer, and Underwater Natiralist.

While these certifications do not carry to real life unfortunately, all of the training involved in achieving them is as realistic as an actual diving course would be, short of going into the water yourself of course. Not only that, but the game’s dive sites will be modeled after actual historical dive sites that are frequented by the world’s most avid divers today.

According to Cascade Game Foundry, the Professional Association of Diving Instructors was instrumental in creating a realistic and comprehensive simulation experience that transcends a game to become actual educational material.

Infinite Scuba is now available for $9.99 via the game’s website, and is playable on both PC and Mac.
