Is Dead Rising 3 In The Works At Capcom Vancouver?

After two successful games in Dead Rising and it’s sequel, it will be a no brainier to release a third game in the zombie chopping and mashing Dead Rising franchise. And apparently there may be a Dead Rising 3 in the works at Capcom.

Information digger, superannuation has revealed interesting information about the existence of Dead Rising 3. Blur Studio who has developed cinematics of several well known games have apparently created the same for Dead Rising 3.  The Linkedin profile of Noah Peterson, technical director of the studio, mentions Dead Rising 3’s cinematics were created by them which is yet to be released.

What is interesting is the fact that profile pages for Rigging Supervisor Jeremie Passerin and Lead Animator Kyle Gaulin indicates that they have worked on Dead Rising 2.

Superannuation certainly believes that Dead Rising 3 is in works. He states: “Wouldn’t be surprising if Capcom Vancouver was running behind schedule with Dead Rising 3. Same thing allegedly happened with DR2”.

Personally, I think Capcom is going to announce it before this year’s E3. Given how Resident Evil 6 bombed (atleast critically) last year, it only makes sense that Capcom gives it another go with Dead Rising 3.

What do you guys think? Do you think the game is under development at Capcom? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
