Today, Jackbox Games announced the release of Fibbage: The Hilarious Bluffing Party Game. Jackbox Games are best known for their hugely acclaimed and very, very fun game, You Don’t Know Jack. Yes, the game may have already been available on Xbox One, but now you can play it on PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4 if you’re that way inclined.

The game is available as a digital download only but it does include a strange gameplay option which, to an extent, can be seen as a good idea. You can play the game using your smartphone, Tablet or laptop as a controller for the game, this does alleviate the need for multiple controllers but it does seem a bit gimmicky. Players login to fibbage.com and input a “room code” that allows them to join the game. So yes, it’s neat…but a little dumb from a marketing point of view.

GM of Jacbox Games says, “You just need a mobile phone or tablet connected to the Internet. We’ve eliminated what we feel is the major sticking point for party video games – the need for a bunch of controllers and/or an entire set of fake musical instruments.”
