Another week, another Famitsu weekly chart for the most anticipated games. And this week, we find that Persona 5 has made massive gains- perhaps the excellent showing the game had at E3 this last week has piqued Japanese gamers’ interest even more, because Persona 5 is within touching distance of perennial chart topped Final Fantasy 15 right now.

At a substantial distance from Final Fantasy and Persona is Final Fantasy 7 Remake at third place; the PS4 and 3DS versions of Dragon Quest 11 follow at fourth and fifth places, with Pokemon Sun/Moon at a healthy sixth place. Tales of Berseria, Yo-Kai Watch 3, and Etrian Odyssey 5 follow, with Kingdom Hearts 3 rounding off the top ten.

For now, though, it seems as though the Japanese market is all about two games, and two games only- Final Fantasy 15, and Persona 5. Kingdom Hearts 3 will probably end up gaining more as it nears its release- which is currently slated to be well beyond March 2017.
