Konami Called Out At DICE Awards

Karma and retribution.

Konami

A lot of people seem to have taken issue with Konami, and their behavior over the last year or so; specifically, even more people seem to be pissed at Konami’s treatment of the legendary Hideo Kojima, the creator of the Metal Gear Solid series. We already saw Geoff Keighley call Konami out, live, in front of a global audience, at The Game Awards last year. And now, Konami have received yet another burn at a high profile event.

At DICE, 343 Industries Producer Kiki Wolfkill seemed to take it upon herself to deal justice and retribution to Konami- and she did it in the best way possible. You should see the video below to see how it went down.

Konami have, at this point, mostly exited the AAA gaming industry (though they do have some Yu-Gi-Oh! games, as well as presumably a PES game, due out this year). Hideo Kojima, meanwhile, has left Konami, and is now working with Sony as his newly formed Kojima Productions studio works on delivering its first ever game to the market.
