Konami: if You Want The Special MGS5 PS4, Talk To Sony

Plus, no plans for a special edition Xbox One console.

Metal Gear Solid V PS4

When Konami finally announced the release of the long awaited Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, they also took the wraps off of he gorgeous and sexy looking special MGSV themed PlayStation 4 console. Unfortunately, that console was confirmed only for Japan, and understandably enough, a lot of people are clamoring for a release in the west.

Konami’s response? Talk to Sony about it.

“Thanx for your request. Please ask ur local SCE. We don’t sell them, it’s up to SCE. @SURUdenise @Konami @konamieu @KonamiUK @MGO_Official,” said Producer Ken-Ichiro Imaizumi.

That wasn’t the only somewhat sad news, though- he was also asked about the possibility of a possible special edition Xbox One console (since the game is coming to Xbox too, after all). According to him, however, there are no plans for any special Xbox hardware.

‘Sorry, no plan [for Xbox One]. Only PS4.’

If you are an Xbox fan who was looking at getting into the Metal Gear action, this undoubtedly sucks. Then again, because of precedence, I imagine most Metal Gear fans are also going to be PlayStation fans as well.
