Last Guardian Has Possibly Been Moved To The PS4

'Completely new conditions.'

The Last Guardian

At this point, assuming you haven’t actually already given up on the game, I think you’ve made the conclusion that it has been moved over to the PlayStation 4. It’s actually not the wildest leap of logic to make at all, and is in fact the most sensible conclusion to draw. Otherwise, even assuming a late 2015 release date, Sony will be launching a brand new PlayStation 3 exclusive two years after the launch of its successor, and that’s just not viable, especially for a game that has been as much of a resource sink as The Last Guardian has.

Now, it seems that Sony itself is hinting, or at least implying, that it has moved the game over to the PlayStation 4. Pay attention to this latest quote by creator Ueda, who talks about the state of the game:

“Talks with Sony Computer Entertainment on The Last Guardian have been ironed out, and we’re making progress under completely new conditions. I’m also working on some other things that I’ll hopefully be able to show in time if progress is smooth.”

‘Completely new conditions.’ I mean, either that refers to any potential latent hostility no longer being a factor, or it means a brand new platform.

Or both. Please let it be both, don’t let this game be held back by the PS3.
