Boss Key Productions continues to update LawBreakers. Besides some new maps coming later this month with Ranked Play and a new class arriving by 2017 end, the developer has released a new patch that limits stacking the same hero in Quick Play.

From patch 1.3, players can now only have two of the same hero in a match. This is to encourage diversity and limit the frustrations that can emerge when certain heroes are stacked. The other new features of the match include a variant of Promenade which takes place at night; the ability to imprint Kick decals on the world; and an XP bonus tracker which displays active streaks and bonuses within the main menus.

The new patch also makes several changes to modes like Blitzball, Overcharge and Uplink along with adjustments to the map Trench and you can read up on them all below. For individual patches notes, head here for PC and here for PS4.

NEW ADDITIONS:

  • New Map Variant – Promenade at night!
  • New Feature – Role limits now set to 2!
  • New Feature – Kick decals can now be imprinted on the world!
  • New Feature – XP Bonus Tracker shows active streaks and bonuses in main menus.

MAP & MODE CHANGES:

BLITZBALL MODE –

  • Increased the radius for reducing the Blitzball shield from 850 → 1000.

OVERCHARGE MODE –

  • Increased the radius for reducing the Battery’s shield from 750 → 850.
  • Increased contest radius for the Battery to 1000.
  • Changed contest area shape from a sphere to a cylinder for better contest detection.

UPLINK MODE –

  • Increased the radius for reducing Uplink shield from 750 → 850.
  • Increased contest radius for the Uplink to 1000.
  • Changed contest area shape from a sphere to a cylinder for better contest detection.

  • Added collision to the top of the the central zone (above capture point B) so that Harrier’s can now throw their Supercharger Stations up there. Other projectiles should behave more consistently as well.
