"Does the Flap of a Butterfly’s Wings in Brazil set off a Tornado in Texas?"

The Developers of “Life is Strange”, DONTNOD Entertainment, have released a brand new Developer Diary for their game which is set to launch on the 30th of this month on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Rather aptly titled “The Butterfly Effect”, the video takes a look at inside the development studios of Life is Strange as they take you through the creative process of the game.

The premise of Life is Strange involves a time traveller, so the butterfly effect is something that would need to be considered greatly when creating the game. The butterfly effect is part of the Chaos Theory which is used to look at and study the outcomes of  dynamic systems. Like the weather for example, “Does the Flap of a Butterfly’s Wings in Brazil set off a Tornado in Texas?”

When the character travels through time, does a small change in their day to day movements have a drastic effect on the world around them and how events unfold? That’s one of the things that you’re going to discover when you play Life is Strange.
