Limbo devs’ next game at least two years away

Fans of monochrome disturbia will be disappointed to hear that PlayDead, the studio behind indie smash hit Limbo, won’t be releasing another game for at least two years.

Game director Arnt Jensen told IGN that ‘Project 2’ will only be released when ready: “We took a lot of financial risk to release Limbo only when we felt it was ready and we are prepared to do so again.”

Jensen also suggested that elements which didn’t make Limbo may be implemented in ‘Project 2’: “Many ideas were cut, right up until the very end. We’re still working with some of the ideas that didn’t make it into Limbo.”

CEO of PlayDead Dino Patti added that  “money is never the primary factor when we make decisions,” suggesting this time frame is about quality of the final product.
