Mafia 3 Gamescom Trailer Shows Off The Rise of the Mafia

A new mob story in the grand tradition of mob stories.

Mafia 3

Mafia 3 is almost here- and the new game, which follows the criminal syndicate in the United States in the 1960s, promises another installment of the kind of hard hitting mob stories that the series has come to be known for. The new game is set in New Orleans, and it looks like it will recreate and own that setting very authentically to create a brutal and uncompromising narrative.

This new trailer, titled ‘The Heist,’ shows off just what players can expect from the new game, when it launches in October. “The Mafia took so much from so many in its rise to power in New Bordeaux. When Lincoln Clay came back from Vietnam, his family was all he had. One night would change it all,” the description for the video reads, ominously enough, hinting at the premise for the game’s story.

All in all, it sounds like we are in for a rather exciting new mafia and mob story with Mafia 3– hopefully, it is at the very least going to be better than Mafia 2, which was a bit disappointing. Mafia 3 is due out on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC this October.
