Marvel's Midnight Suns

Earlier this year, we got the announcement of Marvel’s Midnight Suns. The game is coming from XCOM developer Firaxis Games and looks at the darker, supernatural side of Marvel with a sprinkling of the more mainstream characters like Captain America and Doctor Strange for some marketing magic. It’s coming relatively soon, and we have seen some gameplay footage of the card-based combat. Now we have a decent amount more, featuring two iconic rivals from the world of Marvel.

As you can see below, a gameplay presentation was shown and presented via IGN. Here we get to see a bit more of the card combat and how it’s utilized, with each character being able to use certain cards, and how that can also play into the environment. The main event, however, is seeing Wolverine with the new original character, The Hunter, take on Sabretooth. We also get a small preview of a cinematic involving the main antagonist of the game, Lilith, as well as the main hub area where you’ll interact with characters in-between fights.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns is set to release on March 2022 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch and PC. Details on the game’s campaign are also out there, including information about branching paths, and you can read more through here.
