Marvel’s Midnight Suns is Out in October; Standard, Enhanced, and Legendary Editions Leaked – Rumour

New leak seems to confirm that Spider-Man will be in the tactics RPG, while it also seems like the Nintendo Switch version of the game has been cancelled.

Marvel's Midnight Suns

In November last year, 2K Games and Firaxis delayed Marvel’s Midnight Suns into the second half of 2022, but since then, official communication on the tactics RPG has been more or less non-existent. Recently, the game has received classification ratings in Australia and South Korea, indicating that it could, perhaps, be nearing launch, while a recent leak claimed that the game had seen a revamp of sorts behind the scenes and would be getting a new trailer in June.

Now, more details on the game seem to have leaked, courtesy of journalist Nils Ahrensmeier, who has provided potential new details on when it will launch and the three editions of the game that will be available for purchase when it does. New screenshots of the game, as well as images of its box art, have also been shared. Check it all out below.

According to Ahrensmeier, Marvel’s Midnight Suns will be released on October 6, and will be available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. A Nintendo Switch version of the game was officially announced last year by 2K, though Ahrensmeier hasn’t mentioned if that is still in the pipeline, if it got cancelled, or if it’s been delayed.

It also looks like Spider-Man and Scarlet Witch are going to be part of the game’s roster of playable superheroes. Until now, only nine Marvel heroes had been officially confirmed for the game (in addition to the custom protagonist): Iron Man, Captain America, Wolverine, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, Blade, Ghost Rider, Magik, and Nico Minoru. Spider-Man and Scarlet Witch, if officially confirmed, will bring the launch roster up to 11.

Midnight Suns will allegedly launch with three editions- Standard, Enhanced, and Legendary. Enhanced Edition will come with the base game, in addition to an Enhanced Premium Pack, which will include 5 skins, one each for Captain America, Captain Marvel, Magik, Nico Minoru, and Wolverine.

The Legendary Edition, meanwhile, will supposedly include the base game and the Legendary Premium Pack, which will include 23 skins in total, for Captain America, Captain Marvel, Magik, Nico Minoru, Wolverine, Blade, Ghost Rider, Spider-Man, and Scarlet Witch. In addition to that, the Legendary Edition will also allegedly come with a season pass, which will encompass four DLC packs in total, each adding a new playable hero, new missions, new enemies, and more.

Of course, these details haven’t yet been officially confirmed, but if Marvel’s Midnight Suns is indeed getting a new update and trailer in June (which seems very likely, especially is 2K intends to stick to a 2022 launch), then it won’t be long before we know more one way or another. Stay tuned for more updates.
