FIRST CONTACT WITH ANGARA (MASS EFFECT: ANDROMEDA)

Discovering new alien races and learning more about their rich cultures, histories, and worlds has always been one of Mass Effect’s biggest draws. By all accounts, that should have been doubly true in Andromeda, because not only would players have been meeting seeing brand new alien races, we also would have been seeing humanity’s first contact with those races. That didn’t pan out, of course. Not only is the number of new races in Andromeda painfully limited, but first contact was also lame. Take the Angara for example- Ryder’s first encounter with the Angara wasn’t even first contact! Humans and Angara had already met and become familiar with each other, robbing the game of what could have been a momentous and memorable moment.
