So Mass Effect 4. I need this in my life, quite literally more than I need anything else. But what do we know about it? Well, not much really. The team working on it recently released some exceptionally cool concept art and spoke briefly about the game, just like at E3, but beyond that there isn’t much to be told.
That is, unless you consider the core concepts which are just as interesting to me as the end product. Let’s run through a handful. We know that “The protagonist of the game is someone who is “becoming an hero.” He’s skilled and capable but hasn’t reached the legendary status Shepard has even at the beginning of the Mass Effect trilogy.” That might mean that Mass Effect 4 is the beginning of a new series following this character.
Cut-scenes apparently won’t be used too heavily, in an effort to immerse the player more than ever by making use of Frostbite’s considerable power. Another important piece of information was “You’re not alone in the world exploring, so creating relationships with other characters is still an “absolute central piece” of the game.” This, of course, means that you might see returning cast members or new ones…maybe even new species?
