Some interesting new details have been revealed.

With the launch of Mass Effect: Andromeda less than a month away now, anticipating is ramping up with every passing second. As such, any new information on the game is met with great excitement. BioWare have now released a bunch of new details for the game, mostly talking about multiplayer, its new features and how it will differ from Mass Effect 3, and it’s also quite interesting stuff.

First off, we have Andromeda’s lead designer Ian Frazier talking about the all new prestige mechanic of the multiplayer component. Apparently, you can no longer promote this time like you did in Mass Effect 3, as this feature replaces that, meaning that they will not be reset unless you choose to reset them.

Additionally, we also have news on how the multiplayer will tie in with the single player- it won’t. It will not impact the single layer campaign story like it did in Mass Effect 3. However, there will be bonus single player rewards that you can earn in several ways, including by playing the multiplayer. However, when a fan voiced concerns of how permanent multiplayer stat bonuses could divide the playerbase, Frazier said that bonus stats are capped for that very reason.

Producer Michael Gamble has also been talking about Andromeda’s multiplayer on Twitter. When a fan pointed out his skepticism thanks to the fact that Mass Effect 3’s servers are currently down such a short time before Andromeda’s release, Gamble replied that the two games are not even on the same server, before saying that BioWare would look into Mass Effect 3’s server issues either way.

In order to gear up for Mass Effect: Andromeda’s release, take a look at our massive recap of the series’ story so far.
