Rockstar has confirmed that the Xbox 360 version of Max Payne 3 will come in two discs; the first disc only contains one-half of the campaign and the full multiplayer suite.
This is particularly bewildering to me since they’ve put out massive games like GTA 4 and Red Dead Redemption on one disc for the Xbox 360. Maybe it’s due to the sheer amount of assets for a linear, focused game, but all that is just speculation at this point.
“That Redbox info is not accurate. Redbox only ever rent out one disc, for any multi-disc game. Max is on 2 discs for 360, so Redbox will be renting disc 1 which contains half of the single player story and the full multiplayer game,” a Rockstar employee tweeted.
We will keep you updated once we receive more information about this. The PC requirements were revealed earlier and its quite absurd; you can check that out over here.
