A Kickstarter effort to crowd-fund a Mega Man themed board game has been successful and a new video gives us our first look at what sitting down to play the actual game will be like, and goes over all of the basic rules, and even some basic strategy. Jasco Games takes us behind the scenes.
The physical features of the game will include miniature figures, cards, and dice, similar to your typical table top board game. The layout of the board is very similar to what one would expect from a typical Mega Man video game, which players starting in one section which is headed up by a particular villain whom they will have to defeat in order to traverse to the other various stages.
Each turn one player will take on the role of their hero and make a roll, presenting them with a challenge to overcome. They will select a card which determines what the challenge is and how many turns they have to overcome it. Each opposing player will have the same number of moves to try and thwart that action and keep you from achieving your goal.
All in all it looks to be a pretty fun and unique board game with a complex gaming dynamic. It’s definitely worth heading over to their kickstarter page and checking out for yourself.
