Platinum Games’ Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance for the Xbox 360 is now backwards compatible for the Xbox One as per Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb on Twitter. Not only that but the Blade Wolf and Jetstream DLC packs, which let you play as Blade Wolf and Jetstream Sam respectively in new content, are both free to download.

Unlike the classic stealth action of the Metal Gear Solid series, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance leans heavily in the third person hack and slash direction. By controlling the cyborg Raiden, players will encounter other augmented soldiers, slice them up and rip out their cores to recover health.

Since this is Platinum Games, you can expect the usual crazy sequences like battling a Metal Gear RAY, fighting GEKKOs and even fighting a Senator. Let it not be said that the Nier: Automata developer doesn’t have some crazy ideas. There are some stealth sequences which include the ability to sneak around in a cardboard box.
