Konami, the publishers of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots have confirmed in a statement that the game will be coming to the PlayStation Store later this month. This was the Metal Gear Solid game that divided the fan base due to it’s heavier than usual focus on cut scenes which totalled somewhere in the region of 8 hours worth of digital cinematography with one cut scene in particular reaching nearly two hours in length.

Coming to the PlayStation Store in a fairly large (but manageable) 30GB download, this is the first time that the smash hit game will be made available as a digital download since its initial launch in 2008. Slated to arrive on December 17th, the game is currently set to be priced at €19.99 in Europe and £19.99/$19.99  in UK/NA.

Will you be buying the game again in preparation for The Phantom Pain? Shout out in the comments.
