I’ve made it as perfectly clear as I can, I love Hideo Kojima’s work. The man is a creative genius in the minds of many and his works are arguably the only thing keeping Konami relevant in the West. But this, is an all new level of strangeness.

You remember that injury that occurred, we’re trying to avoid spoilers here for the sake of the uninformed, that we’re yet to see fully unfold? Well apparently it’s not just a hunk of debris as we’ve been led to believe. It is, and I quote, a “horn”. One that appears to still be growing.

Now I get the symbolism, a quest for revenge and a descent into effectively becoming a demon. But here we were expecting it to be metaphorical and not literal. But as Kojima himself said in a recent tweet accompanied by the image above, “Okay now no more bandages but the horns got grown?!” By which he obviously means ‘it has grown’ or ‘is getting bigger’.

This is very, very strange.
