You may have forgotten – maybe because you want to forget – but Metal Gear Survive, the co-op zombie horde action game spin off to the popular series is still a thing, and it is due out next year. And today, we got reminded of that fact when Konami shared brand new screenshots for the game, which you can see for yourself below.

Screenshots were not the only thing Konami shared, either- they also shared an update on the game’s mechanics, specifically on the base building. Basically, you will have a Base Camp in the game, which will act as the hub for all your activities, single player and multiplayer. Resources and loot you collect can be used to upgrade the Base Camp, and your character and Base Camp progression is common and carries across single player and multiplayer modes.

Developing the Base Camp will necessitate resources, but will unlock more abilities and upgrades- it sounds like a hugely expanded version of the Mother Base from Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, actually. Metal Gear Survive is due out on Xbox One, PS4, and PC next year.
